With over 30 years working in the interior design field he has accumulated extensive experience with all aspects of programming, space planning, interior fit-up construction documents, millwork design, construction review, coordination, and budgetary aspects of commercial, residential, and educational projects.  Broad experience in project management assures that projects will meet critical deadlines, schedules, and budgets. 

 

In addition to interior fit-up aspects of projects, he has extensive experience in the furniture aspect of commercial and educational projects.  Hands on knowledge of services ranging from programming and developing furniture standards for numerous clients to producing FF&E bid packages for establishing national discount structures.  All projects have included furniture research and careful selection of the appropriate product for the client’s use and budgetary constraints along with their finishes.  Other aspects have included mockups, coordinating multiple furniture manufactures, dealers and other consultants, tracking, scheduling of furniture and delivery dates, overseeing of installation, punchlist and follow-up. Most of the public sector projects have utilized the Chapter 30B bid process and followed all of its requirements

 

Work experience began with 12 years at a 50 person architectural/ Interior design firm starting as a junior designer progressing to the position of director of the interiors group.   Since January 2002, he has been an independent consultant working with various higher educational institutions, corporations, and private owners assisting in the interior design, space planning, custom millwork design, and furniture process of renovations and new building construction. One of his residential projects was the subject of a full TV season of "This Old House"; on this project he worked with the home owner over a 4-year duration to transform a 1950's modern house.
